Frequently Asked Questions
What is Fletcher Pilates?
Ron Fletcher is internationally recognized as one of the few original master teachers of the Pilates method. His most notable contributions include the Fletcher Towelwork®, Fletcher Floorwork®, Fletcher Barrework™ and the Percussive Breath technique. Body Works Pilates is the international headquarters for Fletcher lineage of the Pilates method and the Fletcher Pilates School.
What are the benefits of Pilates?
Pilates is a full-body conditioning program developed by Joseph Pilates, over the course of 4 decades. It incorporates both mat and equipment work and is designed to strengthen core musculature while actively decompressing the body. This dual emphasis results in a longer, leaner, more flexible, better toned and more evenly developed physique.
