As we enter this new decade, I’m rather enjoying reflecting on the past 27 years of directing Body Works Pilates and serving the Tucson community – and beyond. It’s been an amazingly gratifying adventure with many positively changed lives and bodies.

2020 will be a year of renewal and continued change at the studio, as well. We started the year with our first Whole 30 Challenge – 30 days of clean, organic nutrition, coupled with 30 days of Pilates. A fabulous way to enter a new year decade! This month we’re revamping our class schedule at the studio to offer several more intermediate/advanced Mat+ classes, along with a renewed focus on the Fletcher techniques, the foundation of our practice. Our introductory class has been renamed “FP 101” and focuses on the movement fundamentals and foundational terminology used in our classes, private sessions, and COREtets.

Please join us (and invite your friends) to our annual “Love Pilates, Love Yourself” Class Sampler on Saturday, February 15 (information follows below). And I hope you’ll enjoy reading about our long-time and valued teacher, Martha Eccles Ramirez, as well with our client spotlight on dear Suzi Hileman.
I anticipate witnessing and participating in many life and body changing moments, large and small, this year and decade. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey with you. In wishing you all the best, I’ll close with Ron’s wise guidance, “Let the breath inspire the movement!”
